John Hennessy
After almost 40 years
service John retired from his position as Commercial Manager with Ulster
Bank in September 2009. From the start of his career with the bank he
had been involved with a huge variety of businesses over a broad geographical
area and had worked at management level for over 20 years.
The position of Commercial Manager entails
responsibility for a large and varied portfolio of business customers,
in particular the maintenance & development of an existing customer
base and the acquisition of additional customers. As part of this brief
he was responsible for growing an already substantial lending portfolio
covering a wide range of businesses & customers. This involved forensic
analysis of all aspects of a range of enterprises and as a result he
gained detailed knowledge of the successful operation of many types
of company. He has always had a ''hands on approach'' in dealing with
clients and has built up a vast reservoir of experience in the field
of successful business practices and is conversant with the interpretation
of accounts and preparation of financial submissions.
John has attended numerous
training courses on a wide variety of subjects including marketing,
target setting, administration skills, financial analysis, presentation
skills, staff motivation, cross-selling etc. As a former commercial
manager he has an in-depth understanding of the reasons for success
or failure and this knowledge is now available to help improve the viability
of your business. John holds a QFA (qualified financial advisor) diploma
from The Institute of Bankers in Ireland of which he is a member.
